Everyone who gives time; from running the Club as a Committee member, keeping the gardens beautiful, feeding and watering the hungry bowlers, setting up the rinks, driving to matches, captaining a team or behind the scenes.

MEN’S CAPTAIN 2024

TonyBell – Men’s Captain 2024

This is my second year as Captain,my first being 2022. I hope the knowledge I gained from the first year will enable further achievements. I still enjoy being part of a friendly club as Swanage Bowls’s Club certainly is. So come and join us.

THE SEASON IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

The greenkeeper and his team have been treating, mowing, rolling and gently encouraging the green back to its pristine condition in time for the new season. The gardeners and grounds folk have been digging, weeding, sowing, planting and tidying. A party of willing members will meet on the 30th to wash, scrub, wipe, and shine the Pavilion and anything else that stands in their way. The Committee has been planning and organising ahead of the President’s Coffee Morning on 12th April.

The season begins on Friday 13th April with the Opening Day Match followed by Fish and Chips.

From Monday 15th April practice sessions begin and the season proper gets underway in May.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE AND WILL WORK HARD TO ENSURE SWANAGE BOWLING CLUB IS READY FOR 2024.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

The ‘Swans’ mixed triples team completely dominated this year’s top division, winning by an impressive 31 points. As well as the ‘Swans’ we were delighted to be able to enter 3 other teams for the first time.
